DROP vs paid data-removal services

DROP is free and reaches every registered California data broker (603 in the current registry), but only for California residents and only registered brokers. Paid services cost money but also target people-search sites and other sources outside the registry.

How we compiled this: Prices and coverage figures are copied from each company's own public web pages on the date shown. They are vendor-reported, can change at any time, may reflect promotional pricing, and may exclude taxes. Coverage counts are not independently verified by DROP Watch and are not directly comparable between companies (each counts 'sites' or 'brokers' differently). Checked on October 17, 2026.
